Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts of essays for publication should be from 5 000 to 10 000 words (special cases may be discussed in advance with the editors). Submission should be accompanied by an abstract (200-250 words), and up to 6 keywords. To enable peer review process, the manuscript file should contain no identifying author information. A separate title page should contain:
- author’s name and affiliation(s)
- acknowledgements (including information about any grants used for the research)
- email for correspondence.

Each submission is reviewed by 3 in-house editors. In the case of a positive review by at least 2 editors it is passed on to an external expert for further review and recommendation for publication. Authors will be notified on the acceptance or rejection of their submission within 90 days of receipt of their manuscript. Authors may only submit papers which have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Kronos aims to publish articles within 12 months of acceptance.

Authors must grant exclusive copyright license to August Cieszkowski Foundation to publish their essays. Essays may be subsequently reprinted by the authors, providing that the previous publication in Kronos is properly acknowledged.

Contributions will be edited into the Kronos house style. Documentation format should include footnotes and full Works Cited. The MLA Style Manual provides general guidelines.

The Editorial board does not accept responsibility for the views of authors expressed in their contributions. Securing permission for the reproduction of illustrations and quotations from copyrighted material is the responsibility of the author.

Kronos does not publish unsolicited translations and reviews.
